Track & Field Meets are generally held on Saturdays from March - May.
2024 meet schedule will include:
6 away meets on March 9, 16, 23, 30, April 13 and April 20
JV on April 27
Varsity (Qualifiers only) on May 4
Super Varsity (Qualifiers only) on May 11

During a meet, athletes compete in the following Track (Running) & Field events:
Track (Sprints): 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, Hurdles (80 m, 100 m), and Relays (4 x 100 m or 400 m) and (4 x 400 m or 1600 m).
Track (Middle / Distance): 800 m, 1600 m, 3200 m
Field: High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put
Athletes must arrive to the meet no later than 8:00 a.m. and check-in with their Coach.
Meets typically start at 8:30 a.m. with the 3200 m run and all Field events and ends with the 4 x 400 m Relays.
There is not a scheduled start time for other events after the 3200 m. A new event begins after all the heats or flights of the event currently on the Track have been completed by all age groups. Go to Order of Events

Meets generally end after 1:30 p.m. (after completion of the 4 x 400 m Relays).
Athletes must arrive to the meet in uniform, socks, and applied sunscreen.
Athletes must also bring proper running shoes and any other gear (as directed by their coach), along with water and nutritious snacks.

The Ojai Roadrunners are members of the Ventura County Youth Track Conference (VCYTC). During the season, the Roadrunners compete against other member clubs of the VCYTC.
The Roadrunners also compete against member clubs of the Southern California Youth Track Conference (SCYTC), the sister league of the VCYTC.
